MEET SOME OF THE THE DOGS

Muddle

AKA- Thorntoun Dancer

The one that started it all for me I miss this girl.

She was an amazing dog and I still miss her 10 years on but always remember the memories of the special dog that always made me laugh and was with me through the hard times I will always have a special place in my heart for this girl!

DUTCH

Dutch is 17 months old I have had her since birth and have been working with her since she was 4 weeks old, she can be a little stubborn and quite lazy when it comes to training, she gets distracted easily as she is a little nervous of other dogs  and birds when walking alone without her mum and brother.

But I practise with her everyday  and seen a big improvement with focus and engagement,

Her confidence is getting better when out on her own and not with the other dogs.

BUDDY

Buddy is 17 months old, I have had him since birth and have been working with him since he was 4 weeks old.

He is the complete opposite of his sister Dutch and oozes confidence when it comes to training he is eager to please and loves learning new tricks.

Buddy is obsessed with his ball and will do pretty much anything you ask just to get one throw.

He has done a lot of work with Ellie my 14- year old daughter and responds well to her and has learned to tap his feet copying her body language.

BLU

Blu is 5 years old and Dutch and Buddy's mum and I have had her since she was 8 weeks old.

Blu loves to train and will work well when asked she also loves to do tricks to get what she wants.

Blu is reactive to small dogs/furries that run fast and this is managed with distance control and a long line to help correct this behaviour.

MIA

Mia was 6 months old when she was  advertised on gumtree selling site when I took her in she was a nervous wreck that urinated everywhere and hid behind the sofa when people came in.

She had severe anxiety with fireworks and thunder as well as being fearful of people

Mia is now 11 years old, She is now a confident little dog who will do anything for food and now has no problem saying hello to people with her tail wagging she has an excellent recall and manages her anxiety with fireworks really well with some crate training she now sees the crate as her safe place.

Rocko came to me when he was 6 months old with behaviours issues he was mouthing when someone took hold of the collar as well as growling when he was asked to get down from the sofa.

He has been the most challenging and I did think about rehoming him which didn't work out due to no space at the rescues I decided to put in twice as much work with him using positive reinforcement training and 6 years later he is still with me Rocko is now 7 years old and Loves training with Ellie my 13- year old daughter he as much respect for her as she for him.

Watch their training videos on the Facebook page.

Spice came to live with us at 8 weeks old and she is just a little star  the most friendliest dog anyone can meet.

She comes to the training sessions with me for reactive dogs as she is calm and friendly and does not respond to confrontation.

This old girl now just melts everyone's heart at 12 years old she is the best of the bunch and knows how to set an example to the younger puppies a true nanny dog.

JESSICA

Jess has been with us  since see was 6 months old and is now 11 years old and unfortunately now deaf due to allergies so she is currently going through new training using a vibration collar for recall which she is taking to really well as she enjoys her time off lead looking for squirrells!

LORRANE & STELLA

Stella and Lorrane came to me for help because Stella was barking all the time we worked on some training on a long line using two ball technique which helped to keep Stella focused and engaged with play and by using two balls Stella gave up the first ball easily and came back from distraction almost immediately, Lorrane was very dedicated to training  Stella and enjoyed the freedom the training gave her which helped to eradicate the boredom and stress levels through play and enrichment.

FRANK

Frank was 18 months old when he came to me great house dog except when left alone raided the bin and constant barking with some careful training sessions on him being left alone for short periods he has got a lot better.

Frank clearly not had much training outside the home as walking on a leash was fine until he spots another dog then he would be jumping around like a lunatic this has taken a long time and a lot of practice on distance work to help him calm down when another dog approaches this is currently a work in progress.

     ANGEL

    FINN

Alfie and Muddle

King Louie

Louie is currently training with Simran and Das who are doing amazing with their work with Louie and this is all about consistency and repetitive training.

Louie has also learned to use the dog talk buttons check out the Facebook page for the video.

Sadie

Sadie is a rescue dog saved by Kelly who came to us for help as Sadie was struggling to hold her bladder the Vet was unable to find a cause for this other than lack of training.

We believe this was due to a lack of confidence and fear and with a lot of patience from Kelly, she is turning a corner and becoming a very friendly confident dog using clicker training and regular toilet breaks with loads of positive reinforcement.

Rudy

Rudy is a talented little dog and loves training currently working on recall using a whistle which he responds to instantly.

Gayne and Rob and doing a great job with training and I love seeing his progress every week.

ZURI

Rhodesian

AT 12 WEEKS OLD JUST STARTING HER TRAINING JOURNEY

Zuri

Now at 12 months old she still comes for regular training weekends.

Ash and Zuri

Chilling out on the sofa after training session

Caroline and Bruno

Bruno has been coming for a year now he was an extremely nervous reactive rescue dog who was terrified of people and other dogs

He is making amazing progress with Caroline's patience and consistency he is becoming a lot more confident and less reactive with people which is down to Caroline's hard work and perfecting her handling to help Bruno deal which things that he is not sure about.

Barney training with Ellie

Jo has been bringing Barney for year and never misses a session.

Barney has some issues within the home with Jo where there is breakdown in relationship and have seen multiple trainers which have been unable to pinpoint  the problem.

Barney works amazing for Jo outside the house so working on confidence and trust and have also been trying out Agility to help with bond building.

Domino

Another rescue  dog that just needed clarity with his owner.

Jan has improved her handler and confidence with Dominoe when around other dogs.

Poppy

Saved from the Chinese meat market and now living her best life with Jim and Louise  who have done an amazing job.

Barney is also a rescue who was reactive to other dogs and people.

Sarah has done amazing with training and never misses a session Barney now understands all basic commands and Sarah is a lot more confident walking him at anytime of the day. Where as before she was walking to avoid everything, also attending the Tuesday environment session Barney is lot more confident walking in busy areas around people other dogs and loud noises
